I have only just realised (I know, I know...) that the lion mark on my Duchy Organics eggs means they have received the vaccine for salmonella. The heritage breed eggs from Waitrose have no lion mark though.

Any one know of an organic brand of eggs in supermarkets or online that are not fed soy? I'd like to start feeding my baby healthy egg yolks but can't find soy free eggs.Thanks for any information.

Hi,

I am in the process of developing relationship with a 'new' source of raw milk - he is based in N.E. Derbyshire close to Chesterfield.

His cows are pasteurised and wintered on hay from his own meadows. Upon further questioning his meadows are treated with artificial fertilizer - but nothing else!

I recently had my first taste of raw milk. I bought it from Hook and Son. I was expecting it to smell and taste different but was very surprised that it looked, smelt and tasted like pasteurised whole milk. Is this normal? I'm 16 weeks pregnant and am thinking of starting to drink raw milk due its benefits that I have been becoming more aware of recently. However, I am worried about the risk of infection and it being harmful to the baby. Does anybody have any advcie regarding this?

How wierd that raw milk is banned in Scotland but not battered Mars bars! I find the depth of their legislature's ignorance quite astonishing.As if raw milk is more harmful than bingeing on alcohol and junk food! Shocking.
