Fermented beverages boast a stunning array of health benefits, including improvements in energy levels, metabolic disorders, allergies, cancer, digestive problems, candidiasis, hypertension, HIV, chronic fatigue, stress, liver function and arthritis.

Most commercial soft drinks contain many harmful ingredients like high fructose syrups, colours, chemical flavourings and artificial sweeteners. Aspartame, saccharin, sucralose and acesulfame K have all been linked to negative or potentially harmful side affects and as such should be widely avoided.

Commercial soft drinks sweetened with glucose-fructose syrup, glucose syrup, maltodextrin, 'fruit concentrates' and high fructose corn syrup and any artificial sweeteners; diet drinks; sports drinks; canned drinks, fruit juices from concentrate; coffee; tea; unfiltered and fluoridated tap water.

Average

Supermarket branded mineral water, active charcoal filtered tap water (non-flouridated), pressed fruit juices in moderation (not from concentrate).

Good

Local organic pure pressed juices and carbonated juices without fructose rich sweeteners. Quality branded mineral waters in plastic bottles (total dissolved solids between 250 and 350 - see labels).
