Speyside Organics

Our main products are Organic Beef and Organic Lamb with some other organic meats available occasionally.

The only feed we buy in is seaweed meal as a mineral supplement. This is a natural (and Organic) product.

Our Customers can be assured that all of our cattle and sheep are born, reared and finished on our farm and all of our meat is therefore fully traceable from field to plate, so important in these days of food scares.

Here at Speyside Organics it is our objective to supply high quality, farm fresh Organic Meats at realistic prices, direct to our customers, through online and telephone ordering, and from our stall at Farmers Markets in Aberdeen and Inverness.

In the winter the cattle are fed on silage, haylage and barley (all produced on the farm) in airy straw-bedded buildings. The cattle are allowed to mature naturally in order to give the best quality beef, with good marbling, texture and taste. Our cattle are always over 2 years old when we take them to the abbatoir at Grantown-on-Spey.

Our flock of sheep graze the same land as the cattle and the lambs are all naturally fattened on grass, with some forage rape and turnips later in the year.
